Upgrade to version 2.1 now!

PCAnalyze now has the ability to import component and board data that has been exported from any ECAD system via Intermediate Data Format (IDF) “universal” files. Double sided boards are now supported. Circular components are now supported.

Revisions:
v2.1 *** New capabilities added ***

1.) The ability to import IDF data files data from ECAD systems to PCAnalyze using IDFTrans

2.) Circular components are now supported

3.) Double sided boards are now supported

v1.11
Build 4
Improved interference checking

Fixed bug that resulted in edge guides extending beyond board boundaries if the board was resized after edge guides were specified.

Fixed bug that allowed conductives to overlap edge guides.

v1.11
B1-B3
Fixed bug that was tripped when opening a previously saved model that contained with more than four conductive interfaces. When opening the project file, the following error messages would appear. 1st error msg: "Error writing conductor data to TAK 2000 export file" 2nd error msg: "Error greating conductors from saved project"

Improved error handling during opening of project files.

Fixed bug that sometimes causes a fatal error if conductive interfaces were placed such that an edge of an interface boundary lined up exactly with one of the board edges.

Fixed incorrect units label on conductive interface input table. The conductance entered should be the TOTAL interface conductance; not the conductance per unit area.

Now allow commas and quotes in component names and the project description.

Fixed bug that caused component editor to close if the window focus was shifted to another application. When this occurred all editing changes were lost.

Fixed bug with color of conductive interfaces labels. It was being incorrectly set to the same color as the component labels

Fixed minor title bar issue with the displayed project name

v1.10 Initial public release

Tips/Techniques/FAQs:
Build up a box model using PCAnalyze and TAK2000
  1. Build a board model as usual with PCAnalyze.
  2. Save with "Save TAK 2000 model as..." from the FILE menu
  3. Build a second board model with PCAnalyze.
  4. Offset the node numbers and conductor numbers so that they do not overlap with the first board model. Go to PROJECT/Project Properties/General
  5. Save with "Save TAK 2000 model as..." from the FILE menu. This time use a different name from the first board model.
  6. Merge the two models together with a text editor.
  7. Add nodes for the box sde-walls, top and botom. Replacing the boundary nodes representing the sinks for the card-guides, discreet conductors, and radiation sinks.
  8. Run the resulting model with TAK2000
Using the IDFTrans with PCAnalyze
